Prancin’ Preschoolers

Preschool classes are absolutely magical at Springfield Dance! We take classical dance and introduce it to our youngest dancers with colorful tools, imagination and plenty of age-appropriate movement.

This group is split into two levels: Pre-1 for 3-year-olds turning 4 and Pre-2 for 4-year-olds turning 5.

What Parents Can Expect

At this age, the teacher matters just as much as the class. Our preschool dancers are taught by qualified adult instructors who understand how to nurture young children while also creating a structured, well-managed classroom.

We focus on listening skills, taking turns, following directions, coordination, musicality and confidence — all while keeping movement developmentally appropriate and encouraging.

Pre-1

This class is designed specifically for 3-year-olds who will turn 4 during the season. For many children, this is their first experience learning in a group setting, so we gently introduce classroom routines alongside foundational ballet and tap skills.

Acrodance

AcroDance combines dance and tumbling while building strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness. Skills are introduced progressively and with plenty of hands-on guidance so young dancers can explore movement safely and confidently.

Pre-2

Pre-2 is an important transition year as dancers become more independent and prepare for kindergarten. We continue building ballet and tap technique while reinforcing listening skills, classroom responsibility, coordination and confidence.
